Kowhai Cross Country Training

Today we had our first cross country training.
The Kowhai Whanau teachers were so impressed with how well everyone did. We saw so many children putting in the effort to keep running which is amazing!

Well done to everyone who remembered to bring in their Sunnyhills fitness gear.
Remember to bring it every Monday and Wednesday!

Kavya's Marble Run

Kavya and her dad made a cool marble run yesterday! Look at all the different things they used to make it.
Do you think you could make a marble run using objects around your house?

Share and Shine - Day 3 Learning

I have been sent some fantastic work over the past couple of days. Room 13 have been working so hard with their distance learning!

I will continue to post the learning I receive each day on the blog. Please remember to share your learning with me as you complete it. You can either email it to me or click on the share button at the top of your google doc or google slide.
If you're unsure, please look at the video further down the blog which explains how to do this.

Structure of a Recount

In Writing, we have been learning to write recounts. To help us with structuring our recounts, we did an activity.

First, we looked at what goes into a recount. We used this poster to help us learn the structure.

We were then put into groups and given a recount that was all mixed up. We had to work as a team to put the piece of writing into the correct order based on what we had learnt about the structure of a recount.
It was a bit tricky but we all got there in the end!

Our First Kowhai Assembly

Last Friday morning, the Kowhai Whanau had their first assembly.
It was wonderful to have some of the other Year 3 and Year 4 classes share their learning with us.

Well done to Eric and Kavya who both received certificates. Keep up the awesome work!
